you should be in the midle of the way you became believe that scales are just a begginers way to get into practice and notions of harmonie...basic notions of harmonie.but if you really get into study of harmonic fields scales chords formations. you 'll see that every thing played in any melodie or any sund can and is inside a scale.withpassage notes,chromatisms,tottaly dissonant but you naive wise self made clown has not this perception.WAAAKE UPPP LITTLE BABY ,

@mjw9363 zep is pure american blues based rock ....so what .(even being british).Have you ever heard janis joplin?Little richard? so,thats zep.What stile remains till today?scorpions was the base for maiden,malmsteen,s.o.a.d,night­wish,halloween,blind guardian,even judas.yes,judas came out about 2 eyars after scorps.with these eastern europe harmonies,minor based chord progression,diminished,and harmonic minor.much more inovative at the time than zep.I love zep,but lets be realistic.
