@djozfromquebec hmm I'm not sure, I always thought the same effects were available for both inserts. Make sure you're on the latest version of Massive perhaps? I did recently download an update via the NI service center.

Thanks guys. I will definitely be doing more vids soon. Snares and hi-hats are harder than kicks but there is definitely a lot that can be done. Definitely keep me posted on other topics you'd like to see.

Wow. This is the best tutorial on designing kicks -- PERIOD!! For someone who rarely uses Massive, I got a lot out of this video. Massive is now my honorary kick drum designer. I usually use FM8, but I think Massive has a more hands on feel, whereas FM8 feels like you're flying a spaceship (plus it's envelope editor crashes occasionally). I have three kick design templates, now, and I will be creating my own unique sounds! Please, please, please make a video about snare design! THANK YOU!!

@djozfromquebec The Hardclipper was added in 1.1. You'll need to update Massive.

LOVE THIS! I am stoked to use my own kicks! any recommendations on creating a snare? I am have been messing around with using modulated noise on top of the kicks. any thoughts?
