  • "That means it costs a little more..."

Wow, they actually assumed people would pay more for higher quality?

  • They even add a touch of salmonela

  • It's the P' Nuttiest ad i've ever seen. Classic.

  • Peter Pan is pretty good as far as peanut butter is concerned.

  • I believe Gilbert Mack is the kid's voice (he did a similar voice on 'ASTRO BOY" a year later).

  • In those days, there was a rivalry of sorts between Best Foods' "Skippy" and Derby Foods' "Peter Pan". Each attempted to convince viewers that THEIR brand was "the one" {in fact, Skippy's slogan was "If you like peanuts, you'll love the taste of Skippy"}. I believe Skippy sold more jars than Peter Pan. Then, Procter & Gamble entered the competition with what they called "Jiffy"...that is, until Best Foods forced them to shorten it to "Jif" [too similar to OUR brand name, they claimed].

  • Can't mistake Mason Adams doing the voice-over on this one!

  • looks alot like "the funny company" charactors
