After going to the Georgia Tech-Kansas game, Jeff and I headed over to Manhattan, KS to take in the K-State-Missouri State game. Here, is a clip of the K-State band playing in the stands during the first half. I am not sure what the song is but it was rather catchy and they played it several times. It has sort of a dance/hoedown type of sound (not trying to be demeaning!). Hopefully, a KSU fan can leave a comment saying what it is.

NOTE: I have updated the title of this video thanks to pitsteelersksu's comment identifying the song!

  • @pitsteelersksu Thanks! I have heard of that song. I thought it sounded familiar. I did like the way the student section was in sync with the band on a lot of the songs.

  • It's call the wabash cannonball. It's a pretty cool story how it began, our band building got burned down by a huge fire and the only sheet of music they could find was the "wabash cannonball" so the band played it for the next game and the student section loved it. NOTE the students waving back and forth to the pace of the song.
