A video for my nursing 105 class about how to use crutches, a walker, and a cane.
For crutches we review the different gaits of usage, how they are used for sitting/standing and going up/down stairs. Please enjoy this informative video :)

PS- Yes I am still alive just very BUSY!!! Enjoy this mildly amusing video :D!!!!!!!

PPS-I did not include my group members names in this box incase they don't want to be "youtubed" by name xD

PPPS- This video reminded me of the times I volunteered in rehab ^-^

PPPPS- I spelled a word wrong D'oh! oh well xP

  • at 0:16 the nurse is not executing proper body mechanics, its not a good impression.

  • Actually the bed wasn't working so we couldn't raise it or anything T.T

  • yer nurse didn't take a stroll with you in the end o_o;

oooh Moon Mama! I'm so happy you recovered in 8mins ^__^

  • Yes my recovery was due to the miracle of nursing xD My nurse was too lazy to stroll with me... LOL j/k ;P

  • wow, a very nice video I think It will be useful to my thesis project, because I'm making a manual for persons with disabilities with the video as instructions...

  • very cute. thanks. i'm an rn but have never had to do this and have to demonstrate it tomorrow!

  • I'm reviewing for my boards right now and this video was SUPER helpful!! Thank you!!

  • thanks it helped alot....now im ready to have my return demo tommorow

  • it has nothing to do with the bed. the nurse was just not standing properly. it shows a bad impression towards the patient. nurses should have proper body mechanics.

  • im a nurse here in philipppines.... youre cute hehe

  • thank youf for posting this video

  • Very confusing! First when the patient uses the stairs to ambulate always goes up with the unaffected side and goes down with the affected. Good = goes to heaven (up) Bad = goes to hell (down)... and the 3 point gait is really bad, please revise it!!!

  • thanx for posting!...

  • thank you, the information was very useful! I like the ending! lol!!
