When I was seven the mother of one of our gang took us to see this film. She dropped us off at the theater thinking that this was some sort of National Geographic film. Imagine eight seven year old boys sitting in the front row when all those bare breasted Hawaiian women greeted the ship!
We didn´t say a thing to the mother when she picked us up but it was a movie day that I still remember!

they should of showed the whole damn thing why did they not add everything in the book like they did in the book. i think they need to remake it.the way the book.

I've always loved this movie for the breathtaking cinematography, magnificent score by the great Elmer Bernstein, the story and the acting.

I have simply cut of most of the theme song and text in the beginning. When youtube only allow you to post videos that are 10 minutes long, you can not post a 8 minutes long theme song! So the only thing you're missing is more pictures of Hawaii...
