The Miata is such a better built car, and is known for far better reliability too. It's sharper, more refined, and just all around the best choice.

Why don't they compare the GXP or Redline to the MX-5?

They should have put better suspension on the Solstice too (was the sport package available in 2006?). And both of those ain't realy ''sports cars''. They're affordable roadsters.
The true sports car version is defenetly the Solstice GXP. It corners like a go-kart and do the 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds. Thats 2 giant seconds in front of the Miata.

@sebast007 I don't know how you can say these cars aren't sports cars. 2 doors, 2 seats, rear-wheel drive. Is there any other definition? SPEC Miata is also the largest amateur racing division in the SCCA....so not only is the miata a sports car, it is one of the most common cars used in sport racing.
