Go watch some controlled aircraft destruction. Even a wooden telephone pole will shear the wing off. There is no way an aluminum wing can shear a steel beam, pure Hollywood movie magic.
Dimitri Khalezov can explain what you are missing.
I my opinion the core was cut and the downward force pulled at the outrigger! Many floors break loose from the perimeter, but not so much that all these collumn's from 3-9 story's bow inward! There must be some help, that's why the weidlinger, nist, fema.... All this investigations were made, they have no real explanation! There should be an international investigation of experts, most of them would even work for nothing, believe me!
@TheMKMonarch That wouldn't work, the sagging was mostly observed where and below the line where the perimeter was severed, so there is no mechanism to transmit the load like that.
I am afraid the only plausible way to generate the observed sagging is through cutting the core.
Sagging floors pulled the exterior inward sounds quite ridiculous. The bolts at the truss seats would be sheared off.
A more plausible explanation for inwardbowing is that one or two sagging outrigger of the hat truss have overloaded the exterior columns because the middle outer core columns which were connected to the outriggers must be collpased first.
Did NIST put the bridging trusses in their simuation?
