  • that ukemi is for when your running from the popo and he grabs your hoodie...just kidding nice ukemi!

  • Nice, that is hilarious. Thanks for watching

  • amazing falling abilities in all of these videos from this martial artist.

I train in a very mixed style of "Taekwondo" and we do alot of Hapkido style falling practice, but i have never seen a fall like this.

is the person in the video and the poster the same person? how long has the person in the video trained in aikido?

  • Thank you, yeah this guy in the poster and the guy falling in the videos are the same. He has been practicing aikido for 7 years now

  • @InDGalozo nice, seems to be a very swift way of breaking a fall, but have you tried it outside the dojo , like not in tatami?

  • @elmucaro177

Its Ukemi. Ukemi is receiving techniques/ falling. There are techniques in Aikido where this type of falling style is needed to prevent harm to the person receiving the technique, although, for the most part, it just looks really cool

  • before i end up saying something stupid about this rather funny looking technique, can anyone explain to me the purpouse of it?

  • ich behersche Ukemi auch sehr gut aber sooo g übertrieben gut nicht wirklich

  • echt krank man hört gbarnicht´s also Respeckt

  • @Nebel255

No, he is certainly not a deshi of Waite sensei, however he is copying his ukemi style. I'm an actual deshi of Waite sensei though.

  • @Shodan9168 Omg, no sound

  • the first Aikido technique is ukemi ; )

  • it almost looks like a special kick-attack. cool.

  • I don't know much about aikido ukemi, but I like it because its silent.
