'Forbidden Art' on trial: Mickey Mouse Jesus sparks religious hatred?

The organisers of a Russian exhibition called 'Forbidden Art' have been found guilty of sparking religious hatred. The show was an explosive mix of works considered too outrageous to show elsewhere.

It just seems like art to some people but, if you knew what it means to others. It would feel the same as if someone took a shit on the American flag and smeard it everywhere then drawn smily faces on it. So let's just call it "art", I think people would be outraged as well.

@TheSauronator I'm non-religious and I think freedom of expression is more important than your feelings. "Everyone" in society does not condemn this exhibition and if you watched the report you'd see that that is true.

Their "art" is simple provocation, a challenge. They knew very well that everyone in the society would condemn their shitty exhibition - normal artists, non-religious people, everyone.

And making an anti-russian provocative exhibition in Russia is not the best idea. Its like me coming to the US and shouting "Death to USA" on every corner. Or drawing caricature pictures of Jews in Israel.
