Ashley Judd and Salma Hayek with Sexto Sentido

In Nicaragua, Ashley Judd and Salma Hayek visited the studio of Sexto Sentido to learn more about how the popular youth-oriented telenovela produced by the Nicaraguan NGO Puntos de Encuentro, has taken on the issue of HIV/AIDS with a focus on combatting sexism, homophobia and stigma as key to prevention efforts.

During the visit, Ashley, Salma and the cast of Sexto Sentido taped two PSAs: One to promote National HIV Testing Day. The Spanish-language PSA, produced in coordination with the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) aired on Univision and Telemundo in June.

The other PSA, written by Puntos de Encuentro, deals with the importance of communication with sexual partners to promote safer sex.
