THIS guy worked for IMF when he created PLAN for Yugoslavian economy 1984 -1989. Industrial production fell 25% in 3 years 200.000 lost their jobs and so on and so on. Which end result was trigger for separatism and Yugoslavian civil war. Neo liberal fucktard his student was prime minister of finances in Serbia Bozidar Djelic was student of Sachs in 1989 1990 Serbia now Bozidar Djelic said Serbia is doing fine economic miracle but in reality Serbia is FUCKED.

quote from Sachs: 'I believed that the large natural resource companies should remain in state hands. This was to ensure that the Russian Government got the revenues from the production of metals, hydrocarbons, and other valuable commodities. This was not done. The natural resource sector was corruptly privatized, giving rise to the new oligarchy.'

anyone who speaks ill of this guy is a fool, and doesnt know the full truth about exactly what he did in bolivia, poland, or russia.
Go and research it further.
Instead of hating on him - why not listen to what he is saying now, and look at the work hes been doing in Africa, developing villages. He is more committed to ending poverty than any other economist, and he is 100% behind Occupy.
dont be dumb and attack your own allies.

This scumfuck helped write and implement the economic policies that gave us the Russian oligarchs from the rapid privatizations during the transition as well..then blamed corruption when he got called to answer why nothing worked.
These protestors may have the right intentions, but are they hoping to eliminate inequality by following someone that helped create so much of it around the world?? lol no wonder most people think they're a joke.
