Montgomery, Plant and Stritch, 1988

Vocal trio Montgomery, Plant and Stritch play live in this video, taken from their performance at the Newport Jazz Festival in the summer of 1988. Since then, Billy Stritch has released several solo albums, has been on Broadway, and is currently touring with Liza Minnelli.

Sharon Montgomery is also still active in music, in the Houston, TX area where she is a mainstay of the cabaret scene there.

Rebecca Plant, however, seems to have slipped out of the public eye since the demise of Montgomery, Plant and Stritch. This video really doesn't do the group justice, to show what a phenomenal vocal blend they had. Sadly, the group only recorded one (hard to find) album.

Montomery, Plant and Stritch disbanded in 1989.
