Happy holidays!
Health care reform. Cap and trade. Global warming. Unemployment. So many important topics to discuss, so many poor arguments to dissect. That's right - we're back!
The Citizen Economists were on hiatus during the election cycle because of some projects we were working on, and all of us thank you for your emails and continued support on YouTube.
We're putting together a series of new episodes which take objective looks at political topics of the day. Later this week we'll have an episode on consumer spending, where we'll both talk about what consumer spending is and what the numbers really mean. I think you'll be interested to hear how both parties like to spin the numbers.
Then we'll look at cap and trade, and global warming. I know, with health care reform and a $1.1 trillion budget on the President's desk, cap and trade seem like back burner stuff, but don't let is sneak past you! The massive program is a tax on everything, and I give my take on the value of that tax.
We've also got a review of unemployment numbers coming up.
This is the information Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden don't want you to have, and it's the stuff that is at the kernel of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck's message, but without the crying and hysterics -- not opinion, but reasoned and articulate fact that disputes their position. Once we tell truth to the lies, all liberals are left with is labels -- an adult term for name-calling. So why is the Republican party so slow to pick up on this?
Good question!
