Aircraft : Jodel D140, with skis and wheels, 180 hp fixed pitch propeller.
Runway : 280 x 40 m at a mean slope of 18.66%, and ends with a 12.5% and 134 m part.
Runway elevation : low 6371 ft, high 6583 ft.

Alpe d'Huez is one of the main skiing station in the French Alps.

Pilots need to hold a special qualification to use the so-called "altiports".
