You and your friends are allied with the Mullahs in your hate and fear of any progressive peoples movement. Thats why any syndicalist union movement is seen as a Tudeh Party plot. And thats also why IRI accuses the Green uprising of being a Tudeh Party project. Completely nuts, I know!

But you see the regime hates the communist as much as you backwarded royalists do!

Btw, I absolutely distance myself of stalinist style "communism" as it was a betrayal to idea of communism!

Exactly - they supported the IRI and stood side by side with Aksariat & pasdars in hunting down members of Peykar, Aghaliat and others. Shameful as ever.

Prior to the revolution the rates of poverty were soaring and cuba was a country of peasants. It was abnormally monopolized and controlled by american business interests and ran by the mafia(please read on what cuba was like before commenting) Maybe they did have the chic equivalence of what would be a cell phone for their time, but that does not matter for their countryside was illiterate and hungry

Cyrus khan i advise you to travel to jamaica and leave your posh hotel and see if they would allow you to actually walk around kingston. Same goes for puerto rico, dominican republic and hati. These are countries that are most similar to cuba, yet they have less advancements in gdp, health care, education and standard of living. It is a bit senseless to compare cuba to switzerland or china or thailand to deduce whether the cuban revolution has made any advancements.

i'd rather have the bare necessities of living for me and my neighbors instead of chic cellphones. Over a million people suffer from aids in thailand, while cuba was able to avoid the spread of the disease through its advanced health system. They are not a democracy, according to their freedom house score, they are only partially free.

LOL Thailand vs Cuba ok visit both come back and we talk about your experience.

Thailand is light years ahead of Cuba when castros took power it was Cuba that was light years ahead of Thailand.

I n Cuba hardly anyone has a cell phone unless they are part of the elite goverment goons. in Thailand 60 million people have 88 Million cell phones. 40% more than entire population.no to mention freedom and democracy vs tyranny and dictatorship in cuba.LOL my advise to you Nima khan is travel.

Actually Cuba is an example of a communist country that made drastic improvements in the livelihood of their citizens. They have progressed in education, health care and economically. Compare the u.n rated level of poverty of cuba within the countries around it and then you will see that it is actually striving. This is even within a sustainable communist framework, you cannot say the same for free market countries
