no, vertical jump is just how high u get off the ground, measured from your center of gravity to the peak point of your jump

He has a way higher vertical than this. I was watching the draft combine where Harrison Barnes posted a 38 inch standing vertical and that ranked him as the 4th highest of all time. They announcers said Nick young had the highest standing vertical ever recorded in the draft combine, so I'm assuming it's around 40+. And that's standing!!! imagine what his max vert really is!
