Jethro Tull comprised of Ian Anderson (guitar, flute, voice), Martin Barre (electric guitar), Dave Pegg (bass guitar) and Dave Mattacks (drums) performing songs from their A Little Light Music tour in Mannheim, Germany in 1992
Yeah Ian you´re so damned right: Life´s a long song, but for certain not every song is a hit, that´s the problem-sometimes....how lucky we can be that we live in your age mr.anderson :-)
This 1992 world acoustic tour put Jethro Tull on the map for me. I caught their Athens Greece show by pure chance while backpacking europe - Ive been a huge fan ever since and since saw them again at Jones beach theatre - Ian Anderson is an amzing talent. Tull put out a CD for this world tour with samples from each country called "A little light music"...
@3moonriver That's also how it is in the Todd Rundgren fan community - experiencing them is as fulfilling as watching Todd do his magnificence. And Todd is touring now including Something/Anything songs, and has done dedicated shows of A Wizard, A True Star and the Utopia album!! Some of us were lucky to have been alive when legends like Todd and Ian ruled the musical world, and I don't want to blow the rare opportunities to live it again, in person, right now!
@decapitatespammers Totally agree - saw Tull a couple of years ago, Ian is totally grounded but the man's talent is quite unique - he's awesome. The audience obviously contained a large amount of life long fans, some of whom knew each other and the band, so it was like being within a huge group of friends.
You're right... Live albums that are "polished" in the studio later end up with mysteries like these. Have you noticed that two songs(Under Wraps and John Barleycorn) were mixed from two nights of recording? If you listen to John Barleycorn really closely, there is a hint of a second electric guitar that seems like its not supposed to be there.
According to the Ministry of Information website, this version of Nursie is supposed to be the one that's on A Little Light Music, but it sounds nothing like it!
