  • I actually think its a great tribute to Layne, they obviously thought it over and decided they need to keep on going with the AiC name. Layne would be happy they're keeping it going, imo at least.

  • William DuVall sounds just like Layne thats why they chose him, their new album coming out will be awesome I can't wait it will be the return of Grunge and fuck all of these racist bitches AIC is the best and will always be the best.

  • Well said Vlad, the voice of honesty and truth at last. Agreed!

  • his "ahh" scream sounds so 'off'.

  • Layne was a big part of AIC, yes...But so were Jerry, Mike, and Sean. Should they just give up on their dream because their singer screwed them over by ODing? I think it's asking too much. They have EVERY RIGHT to pursue their dream as Alice in Chains--period.

  • Alice in Chains died with Layne Staley. Simple as that.

I need to see this new set LIVE To form an accurate decision of Duvall, Of course.

Its just my beliefe as a musician that when a front man dies, so does the name.

Cheers for Jerry, Sean and Mike.

P.S. Layne was "showy" because he was FUCKED UP and thats why Alice in Chains was what it was.

  • If I saw William, I would love to personally thank him for enabling me the opportunity to see AIC. I'm 22 now, which obviously means I was way too young when Layne was with AIC. I will be attending Rock on the Range on March 16th and they are playing that night. It's like a dream come true. Actually, last year at ROTR, Stone Temple Pilots played. How amazing is that?

  • tough crowd lol

  • This rocks.
