Interesting series, tho it fails to note at the start that the origin of public broadcast TV is owed to Nazi Germany in the 1930s. See 1999 documentary "Television Under the Swastika" (is on YT). This is a fact that really is highly relevant to a documentary such as this imho.

@Agui007 Channel 4 is British state television. It's owned by the British government, but unlike the BBC is not financially supported by the state, so maintains a measure of independence. Consequently it is allowed to advertise to raise revenues, but also has as part of its charter a remit to make educational programs.
