  • very nice. only question for me, upon viewing this is, I thought with SVT, you also get a "Rwy Depiction" on the PFD. never saw that?? could be a bit confusing in IMC to Minimums, where, if your on Instruments (PFD) and don't actually SEE any "Virtual" Runway stretched out in front of you (again, on PFD) could get squirrely huh?

  • @drumdude46

For those commenting on the lack of runway depiction, this was a very early Beta release of the SV software - the newer versions all show runways, including runway numbers as you come over the threshold. It just took them an extra month to get that running.

  • In '07 I went on an Alaskan cruise; with various ports of call. One was in Skagway, where I took a Tubine Beaver floatplane ride into the back country to see a waterfall that black bear feed from for Salmon. I'm a licensed pilot w/ instrument. But of course, I couldn't fly this plane as I wasn't approved. So I remember telling the pilot "this synthetic visions stuff is really cool!" He said, "meh - I don't know how to use it ... I'm VFR only". They had a fatal crash a few days later. Hmmm.

  • You should do radio. Heck of a voice.

  • @turboromy Good question, my Sport model which is a later product, has shown the runway in black in all cases so far. Hey Paul, can you help on this, please.

  • Works perfect without WAAS

  • Very informative. One question does this require WAAS type GPS resolution or will it work well enough with normal non WAAS resolution.

The reason I ask is that WAAS isnt available everywhere, but a GPS signal is.

  • Amazing!!!

I'm just curious if it doesn't display runway at the end of highway in the sky.
