Runbys of the "Berkshire Rambler" rare mileage railfan trip sponsored by the Mass Bay Railroad Enthusiasts in June, 2011, over the tracks of the Housatonic Railroad.
I return to the U.S. every year and stop off in the Great Barrington area often; I like seeing the Housatonic RR but those carriages are sorely in need of paint! Since the Engines are neatly painted, I figure that the company doesn't have funds for the rest. Why doesn't HRR organize "Paint Partys" at one of the sidings? If 100+ people bought a 5 gallon bucket of "Housatonic Green or Yellow" from a designated paint store & showed up on some date in painting clothes..? It would be like Woodstock!
