  • Just bought a Mixon book called "Smokin". Good book, but he says don't remove the cover during cooking, if possible. Then, he says remove the cover every 15 mins. to spritz ribs while cooking??????? Contradictory???

  • The joke was on me watching 9 minutes of membrane removing. LOL

  • The easiest way to remove the membrane is with a paper towel...that way it doesn't "slip" out of your grasp.

  • Just curious, how many inches above the coals is the cooking grate on those pits?

  • are you kiddin me!! they spend that much time trying to get the membrane off the ribs??? it's gotta be just to throw everyone off so they don't do it, so Myron gets the edge, but Everyone knows to take it off first
