Top Of The Pops from 20/12/84 (part 1 of 4), this edition was presented by Janice Long & Simon Bates. Although not technically an Xmas show this edition has an Xmas feel, as it was originally transmitted 5 days before Xmas 1984. A number of popular Xmas hits appear on this edition.

This is the last classic Xmas Top of the Pops, the one where Band Aid were at No. 1 and the whole group stood together on Xmas day and sang "Do They Know Its Christmas?". The following year, pop was taken over by crap such as Whitney Houston, The Pet Shop Boys, and A-ha. All the good groups started to fade out in '85. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
