My first quadropod project, which I just put together as the last servos arrived. It uses 12x Futaba S3003 standard Servos, 2200 mAh 11.1V Li-Po battery, wireless PS2 controller as a remote and an Arduino Mega 2560 to control everything. The led on the back is RGB and shows battery state (blue being excellent). It also has 3-axis accelerometer, compass, and voice recognition module, all of which are currently not used because I'm focusing on the movement. Two ultrasonic and one IR sensor are also waiting to get mounted.
It weighs more than 1kg (2lbs.) and the servos being standard torque it has trouble standing up on it's own. All main parts are made of plywood. Joint parts attached to the two first servos on each leg are also fiber reinforced.
