Sarah Palin got asked about Pakistan and Waziristan by Temple University grad student Michael Rovito while getting a cheesesteak at Tony Luke's in Philadelphia on 9/27/08. Here's Rovito being interviewed on CNN on 9/30/08 about the encounter, which has since hurt both Palin and John McCain, who have had to address her gaffe.

  • Dude just shouldve asked her "WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR?" because obviously thats the only thing you can ask her without it being a "gotcha" question.

  • What a train wreck!

  • You don't know what that means, cuz it DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING!!!

  • 'that womans an idiot"she make's forrest gump look like an academic

  • that's my teacher now! lol

  • re: McCain's defense of her makes him look weak, too.

Inevitably, the Patriarch must speak for all lesser members of the Clan. This is the pre-Christian Tribal mode based on 'Shame & Honor'. While Western democracies have moved on to the Christian 'Guilt & Forgiveness' model as much as possible there are many lapses, particularly in groups propelled by simple 'Testosterone Logic'.

"The Armies of Man protect Rank & Privilege before Freedom."

  • Can McCain and Palin whine any more? Geez, if Palin can't answer a simple question like this without whining about it afterward, how could she possibly handle being President?

This was just more evidence (as if we needed more) that Palin is utterly and completely unqualified for the position she is running for. A smile and a wink isn't enough.

McCain's defense of her makes him look weak, too.

  • Go Temple.

  • I just simply do not like any of the candidates except for Palin! She is not perfect but at least she has a record that represents the people.

  • Yeah Biden did fail to answer some question, but he didn't flat out refuse to answer like Palin. Palin is very personable and likable, but I don't feel she is ready to wrangle the responsiblity in front of her just yet. Biden everyone knows has a world of expirience, and Obama, IMO has shown that he has the ability to step in and be President. I believe McCain also does, but w/ his health history, its possible that we could end up with Palin taking over. I'm not comfortable with that situation.

  • I agree with the low expectations point but she is personable. She doesn't speak in a condescending tone unlike most politicians. The qualification issue can be argued from both sides. At least she is #2 not #1 on the ticket and forher not answering certain questions that is common of candidates. They pick and choose what they will answer. Biden failed to answer a couple himself.

  • Which to me shows she didn't have the answers for them. While I no longer think Palin is a complete idiot, I do think that she is unqualified to hold the Veep or possibally Presidential position. This isn't about how long she's been in politics, its just the impression I get from watching her in action of this past month plus+.
