It's like watching a train wreck- you simply cannot look away... What happened to smart, solid, stable examples of young women to look up to as role models?

sorry about this but there was a girl in a forest and looking about until she disapered and evrybody was looking for her in scotland then she just couldent find her if u read this then that means she will apear in your mirror tonght when your sleeping

There just a general self hate that happens when beautiful women become famous. Not in every single case, but it seems hard to prevent. The more the fame, the less of a grasp on what it real, and the more self-doubt.

Re: Marilyn it isn't 'is she or not as scandalous/slutty/whatever as the other modern girls', it's that she suffered from the same insecurity and self-hatred. Like Lindsay, Britney etc, Marilyn was desperately needy and by her own admission gave men sex when she wanted love. Like them, she was unhappy, clinically depressed and suicidal, had drinking problems, and let men use and abuse her. Sadly...not so different, just more personally likeable. IMO the most tragic "disappearing girl" of all.

I don't get the involvement with Marilyn either. She's way too good to be posted with that trash (Paris, Lindsay, Nicole, Britney and Anna!?!). Seriously, she is so much more of an icon than these girls will ever be. She also didn't do anything nearly as bad as these girls!

I enjoyed the video... But i don't get the involvement of Marilyn in it. She was troubled yes... But nothing compared to the chaos that is todays young girls. Even lost as Marilyn was it can safely be said, that even at her worst moments in life she never had the crazy tabloid stories you see nowdays.
