  • Thank you for mentioning the difference in the notion of intentionality between phenomenology and analytic philosophy.

  • Goodness, back to the books for me lol. Love your videos, thanks.

  • @bluetoebeing Real mature.

  • @natedaug1 of course, you fucktard

  • You truly have a gift of explaining complex ideas to the lay person!

    Thanks, Professor!

  • I would just add Dan Zahavi to the list of authors near the end. Zahavi recently wrote a relatively short work entitled "Husserl's Phenomenology" which--using a very straightforward writing style--really covers the whole spectrum of Husserl's career and his phenomenology generally. Zahavi does this, I think, as skillfully as anyone. Sokolowski's Husserlian Meditations was v good, but where they depart I must side w/ Zahavi (eg the issue of 'functioning subjectivity') Great video Corey, love it

  • Intentionality is very much about 'aboutness' in analytic philosophy of mind also. However, people like Daniel Dennett, the Churchlands etc. want to explain the phenomenon away. Basically they deny the existence of ontological subjectivity (because they want science to be able to account for everything).

  • Love it.You are rocking the conciousness concepts the last few videos. I can't wait to get your books in the mail.

  • yo corey. Have you ever heard of an author called Julius Evola? I think you'd enjoy his book "Ride The Tiger". I don't agree with everything he says but he brings up a multitude of interesting ideas about modern (1920s+) life, existentialism and the difference between the world of Tradition and the way humans are now. Touches on alot of this stuff, is critical of existentialism on the whole, though.

  • Woah... hmm... i def understand this.... well after the second time watching the vid. cool stuff.
