If the late Roy Budd had been American he'd be a household name, but like Matt Monroe he's almost unknown outside of his own country - in Roy's case not even there. Sadly missed.

Smokin. good practice to just even get through it that fast let alone the breaks and solos. If they paid him by the note Roy woulda been a rich man.

I was addicted to this ablum as a kid. It was, I think, produced by Tony Hatch. Just seeing the cover instanlty raised goose pimples with me. I was fortunate enough to see him perform live twice in the late 70s. Just seen the picture of the label and I was right about TH. Also on there Bossa Nova USA - superb!
