    Most foods in a typical American diet are acid producing. These would include, but not be limited to, refined carbohydrates, sugars or sugary foods, packaged foods, animal protein, dairy, sodas and caffeinated beverages. Vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs,etc will create alkalinity after they are metabolized. One of the best ways to alkalinize the cellular terrain is to eat 70% alkaline-producing foods as opposed to 30% acidic-producing foods on a daily basis.
