  • I have one of your books Tom - (Complete Day Skipper) - it's really well written, easy to read, full of the best advice, and shot through with a wry sense of humour that carries you from one page to the next. Probably not to be recommended, but on the strength of your book I hired a 48ft bareboat yacht for 2 weeks in Turkey with the family - best holiday we've ever had, no mishaps or embarassments either. Prior to that I had only sailed a Mirror dinghy at school many years ago....Thanks!
