That look right at the end of the scene...such indigance but also so much fear. Rupert Everett did a marvelous job.

Cromwell the tyrant was even more absolutist than the King. King Charles was given his position by God. Cromwell took his by Hypocrisy!

If people still believe that choosing the lesser of two evils (monarchy or military dictatorship) isn't in the end still choosing evil, you're part of the problem.

@guardianangel10 You write 'why else would they have to hide his [Cromwell's] head' - it's not exactly hidden. It's buried under Sidney Sussex College chapel, after a relative was given it some time in the 20th century and didn't know what else to do with it so gave it to the college. I believe it's under the antechamber but no one seems to know for sure. You're right about him being a unlikeable dictator, of course.

@Herman6644 - You seem to know as little of history as you do of spelling and grammar.

@guardianangel10 But his head is Never hidden - his face is well-known from a whole bunch of portraits.

@guardianangel10 fuck off you cunt!! Cromwell is England an individual that took up arms against a tirant a man who believed whole heartly in the LORD GOD!!
Cromwell created the first and only military dictatorship in England after swearing that he wanted to return power to the people and out of the hands of corrupt leaders. He persecuted Irish Catholics and helped to create the animosity between the two countries that still exists today. Cromwell was a fanatical dictator, why else do you think they still have to hide his damn head?
