A formal session in Tehran's revolutionary court; sitting in the position of the accused is Majid Jamali Fashi a man known to the Iranian intelligence as the key player in the assassination of top Iranian nuclear scientist, Professor Masoud Alimohammadi in 2010.

The session was held in the presence of international journalists and the victim's family.

Jamali who introduced himself as an affiliate to the Israeli intelligence service the Mossad, told Judge Salavati that prior to the assassination attempt he held meetings with numerous Mossad agents in Turkey, The Azerbaijan Republic, Thailand, Armenia, Australia and Israel. He claimed that he was brainwashed during his training courses.
Jamali said that he had received 120 thousand US dollars from Mossad agents in separate payments, to carry out the attack. He also spoke of his trainings in Israel.
Jamali is facing some of the strongest charges in Iran's law.
Enmity with God and spreading corruption on earth for espionage and assassination,
receiving illegitimate funds from Iran's foreign enemies, destroying private property by planting a bomb strong enough to kill 300 people in a residential area and possession of illicit drugs.
After Jamali's statements Dr. Alimohammadi's widow appeared before the judge. She demanded justice and called for Majid's execution.

On January 2010 Professor Masoud Alimohammadi an expert on theoretical physics was killed by a bomb planted in a motorcycle parked next to his car in Northern Tehran. Iran's intelligence said that the style of the assassination was similar to that of Mossad. Months later the attacker was arrested and confessed to the attack on national TV.
Experts say that he would most likely face capital punishment.
