If you know Shelby, you know about this car! I am selling #153 out of 500 made. A true collectors item 53k miles and Goes Like Hell (according to a uniform representative from the Ohio State Patrol it goes about 135mph!)...Shelby style. Standard equipment, manual trans, new paint job, original decals, and stage 2 computer upgrade... Original Radio, Manuals, dealership window sticker, and records kept from date of purchase, the a/c drops ice cubes in your lap...I can go on. Fun car to drive...

EXCEPT - The Omni was American Made. The Rabbit wasn't. And we wonder why our economy is in the shitter. Too many Jap and German imports being sold here with guys like you eating them up.

my uncle has a shelby omni (1989). I think you'd be interested in his youtube videos. His has aa srt-4 motor swap and a TON of goodies. his youtube name is wwwturbogodstoyscom he has vids you'd like. he's had his shelby since before me.

@GuyThom01 The sad fact is that more and more jap and german cars are made here in America, while Chevy ford and dodge are building more and more cars in Europe Canada and Mexico... Soo.. If you want an American made car... buy a toyota or honda LOL.

I owned a omni GLHt. The guy I bought it from went out and bought a ShelbyGLHS Omni. The GLHt was know slouch with a few mods. My wife was used to the GLHt but I gave her a ride in my friends Shelby GLHS she started pawing at the dash at the top of third gear. Man those run great. They drove out very good & way out handled first gen GTI's.

He didn't "licence" his name for these cars. HE BUILT THEM! The GLHS is not a licence deal. They were built by Shelby Automobiles Inc. and Carroll Shelby at his factory in Whittier California.

awsome car!!!!! GLHS badge was still intact, clean car, wud love 2 own it! must have been hard 2 give up. but ur not doing the car justice w/a creed song! lol.

LOL... I couldn't stop laughing when I added this song.... This was like my "baby" and it hurt to part with it. Then when he sings "I'll show you everything..." it fitting. I cried when the truck took it away. Sold it to a great guy in Seattle and I'm in Cleveland...WOW. The love for this car continues....I might change it to Billy Idol...Eyes without a face lol
