How is LWB388P doing these days? It would be fantastic to see her out on the road, especially since much of the work has (probably) now been done, has it not?
It had passed into preservation when i took the film, and trust me it was 1996. I didn't have a video camera back in 1986. The oldest film i have i took in 1987 on a borrowed one.
There's an old A-reg Ailsa in my town here that used to run the school run. I think it still does occasionally, but it's a bit knackered and past its time now.
I managed to get a photo of it, but it's only of the back of the bus...
there's one knocking around in Gravesend, Kent too. Restored into early 80's London Transport livery. Whether or not it's one of LT's Ailsa's I couldn't tell. Saw it yesterday.
