At least J&D were into the surf scene unlike the BB's & most of the covers they did were better than the originals.

I remember seeing Jan & Dean in concert many years ago.
They put on a great show that night.
Dean stopped the performance so that I could get a picture of them together on stage.
I sat at a table that was right in front of the stage.
Dean is that kind of a guy.
While we all miss Jan, Dean carries on.

Rap artists from the 80's & 90's are being inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame, as well as 1 hit wonders! (Many are arguably not even rock'n'roll artists). Yet 1960's greats such as Jan & Dean are still not even being nomited as potential inductees. What about Bobby Vee, Bobby Rydell, Chubby Checker, and Neil Sedaka? None of them are in the Hall of Fame either! The Hall is all about business nowadays. They want to attract people to their museum by inducting artists who will bring in visitors.

yes it was. Red Robinson hosted a teen idol night during the fair along with Micky Dolenz and the guy from Herman's Hermits. Great show.

It is always good to see Dean.
I met Jan & Dean many years ago.
They belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
What they did was something special.
