When you perform an exercise, always be sure to properly position your body, allowing it to move throughout a complete range of motion.

In this example, a chest pad that is too far forward does not allow your arms to fully extend without the weight stack touching. A chest pad that is positioned too far back does not allow the motion to be performed with proper biomechanics.

As you'll see, it's easier done than said! :-)

  • there's one things that machines offer that not all free weights do--- full resistance at every point in the motion. on freeweight curls the difficulty comes only when the forearms are parallel to the floor, it's easier at start and ending of the motion.

  • Some people keep saying that machines are useless or something along that chain of thought. Freeweights provide a better control over your muscles, but certain muscles are somewhat complicated to train with free weights since gravity always pulls the weight down. Machines solve this problem by using cables and pulleys. Your results are dependent on your technique not if you use freeweight/machines.

  • ah fag rolled again
