You are supposed to place the suctioncup mount, press the big "button", and then pull the thing around the "button" up. Then it can't fall of.

Though I can see the concept of it, I think it's a pretty stupid piece of equipment. Who in their right mind would want to attach a camera to their car? Now if you were to attach it to a cycle helmet or racing car now we talking.
