@VenusMonkey I got re-hooked on GL ,when Alan and Hope were stranded,and watched with the comings and goings of Roger Thorpe. I there was a married couple (writers) who wrote for GL. Fran Myers aka Peggy Thorpe,real life husband ,Roger Newman,aka,Ken Norris ,also wrote for the show. I see on IMDB ,that he has passed away ,2010.

@twain103 Wow, I thought I was observant, but you take the cake...lol. Doug Marland was brilliant, I really miss the writing we had on the classic soaps. That is the biggest downfall of soaps today.

@VenusMonkey I seemed to have had a little,ESP concerning GL.When Joe Ballard opened his door,he had a are you kidding me look on his face. I told my family ,I think Carrie ,is the killer,and I was right.When Alan brought back a bandaged man to the hospital,I told them I think thats Roer Thorpe. I remembered that he was left -handed and when he wrote a note ,using his left hand,it WAS Roger!!! Douglas Marland was a BRILLIANT WRITER!!!

Didn't Jane Elliot play Tracy Quartermaine (on General Hospital...) BEFORE playing Carrie Todd? Then, returned to General Hospital after being abruptly fired from Guiding Light?

I am crazy, little did she know thats how they were planning to end her stay in springfield. I remember she would become Ross's wife then she ends up insane and sent away, If im not mistaken I believe she was the one who murdered Alan's secretary. thats when i first started watching the show, 1981..
