Joe and Nick looked at each other, then back at me. "Sure," Nick smiled sweetly. My stomach flipped. "Sounds good." Joe nodded. "So, do you want to go back to the party?" Nick asked. I nodded. "Wait, what's your name?" Joe asked, then laughed. "Natalie," I smiled. I lifted my hand up for a handshake, but he pulled me into a hug. I laughed, then hugged back. "We always hug people. Just a hugging family." Joe shrugged after pulling away. "Let's go," Nick sighed. So the three of us walked out the door. Nick bought me some cotton candy, a treat for walking Elvis. I thanked him as the three of us walked around. "So, tell me," I said, "how are you guys famous?" Joe told me about their band with him, Nick, and their older brother, Kevin. He basically told me their life stories. I was shocked. They worked so hard for something they almost lost. "Okay, now tell us about you." Nick said, ripping some cotton candy off. Joe grabbed his hand right before he ate it. "Blood sugar." he said quietly. Nick groaned in frustration and gave his share to Joe. "I'll tell you after I go dunk someone's sorry butt into the dunk-tank." I grinned evily. I jogged ahead of them into the line for the dunk-tank. I was second in line, and I pulled my money out. The little girl in front of me couldn't dunk him, so she got angry and hit the button herself. I laughed a lot as the guy fell in the tank. I gave her a high-five as she ran off to her parents. Somebody else got onto the board to get dunk. It was some ugly guy with a lot of zits, and granny-glasses. He thought he was cool. "Come on," he shouted. "Give it your best shot!" I paid, and got three balls to throw. I threw and dunked him the first shot. I smiled in victory. He got up and set back up on the board. "You got lucky. I bet you'll miss this time!" he grinned. I pretended I was aiming at the target. Then, I turned and threw the ball at the guy. Got him in the gut. "Shut up next time." I called. I threw the last ball and dunked him again. I smiled victoriously and turned back. Joe and Nick were smiling, trying not to laugh. "Nice." Joe commented. "He had it coming." I laughed, enjoying the moment. "What else do you wanna do?" Nick asked. I shrugged. "Let's go somewhere quiet so we can hear your story." Joe suggested. I nodded. We went back into their house, after I told him that I'd rather not suprise my mom. We went into their living room, and saw someone on the couch. "Hey, Kev." Nick said. We all went and sat down. Kevin was in the single chair. I sat in the middle of their long, comfortable red couch. Joe and Nick both sat next to me, closer than I expected. Joe and Nick told me about how Kevin had married a girl named Danielle. I saw his ring on, so I believed them. He glanced at my legs, then gave me an awkward look. He slyly motioned to his legs, so I looked at mine. Oops. My dress came up a little, showing most of my thighs. I pulled my dress down a little, slightly blushing. "So..." I said, not knowing where to start. "Oh, Kev, this is Natalie." Nick motioned to me. He told Kevin about what happened, and that I would walk Elvis. He seemed interested, now that he knew why I was in here. "So, where are you from?" Kevin asked. "Oh, I just moved here from New York." I smiled. "Why'd you move all the way here?" Nick was confused. I looked down at my knees. I could easily see Joe and Nick's legs, positioned the way their bodies were angled at me. "Um...Well, my parents divorced a long time ago. My mom was sick of bumping into him in places, so she wanted to move somewhere she knew he'd never go." I said, not looking at any of them all the while. "Oh, I'm sorry." Joe apologized. I shrugged. "He wasn't a very good father, anyways, so I didn't really mind. Just the process of moving is what irritated me." I laughed quietly. "What are your interests? What kind of music do you like?" Nick asked. I opened my mouth to answer, but someone interupted me. "Hey, Kevy, do you know where I put my purse? Oh, there's a guest." Some girl, smiling entered. She walked up to me and held out her hand politely. "Hi, I'm Danielle." she said. I shook her hand and replied, "Natalie." Kevin explained what was going on. The only thing I could think of was that she was really nice and pretty, but it would be a lot easier if everyone came at once so I wouldn't have to hear this story ten times.
