Hi

i have been a young carer since i was 6 years old i am now 17 so you know how hard it has been for me to grow up takin care of someone at that age. I was upset watching this video because young carers has been my second family in my life and now because of the goverments funding we could b shut down. :( dont want to leave i have made friends and been able to live like a normal child. This video is great, FOR ALL CARERS KEEP UPTHE GOOD WORK YOUR'E ALL FAB!!!!!!! :D

this is an amazin video ama carer as well I've been doing it since I was 7 and like u said it is hard it is emotional but it does make u see things dofferent as well a hope this video speaks out to people about young carers :) you done a good job xxx

Hello,

I am 16 and am also a young carer for my mum, its been hard as is has just been me and mum. I never thought about things, I just got on with them. Unfortunately I didn't hear about young carers group until my last week of year 11. And it was only yesterday I went on an outing with them. However at the moment it doesn't seem real. I always got bullied, and as I am almost deaf. Things are hard from time to time. Its nice to know that people still think about us though. So thank you :)

this is true..i am 16.been young carer since i was 7.never thought anything of it.got till last christmas and broke down when the person i care for got so ill.i knew of no hope.till i was told about a young carers group.they have done everything for me. to make me feel more confident and less stressed.sitting in school with home life being so emotional tough.its just not possible.i wish everyone could get the help they deserve.we're doing great jobs.we should get help to run our own lives

fantastic. i love your videos. so true. i am a young carer in australia and i want to show your clips to my whole school in assembly. they are awe inspiring. ppl need to wake up and smell the young carers!
