  • @atheistsouthern I'll admit that both bands dressing like mummies seems a little dubious, but like you said, The Mummies where also a relatively unknown band, much like HCTM, so I'm still open to the idea that HCTM was unaware of The Mummies. But as far as sound goes, HCTM seems very different from the Mummies. Look at it this way, I'm sure some band somewhere had the idea to dress like mummies onstage even before The Mummies or HCTM did.

  • @Pumakat95 -I guess they never heard of Google either! Talk about lame!

  • @nklshaz -A rip of is a rip off and like the music or not they stole their stage show. I can't respect someone who steals from little known artist's and tries to play it off as theirs. Shame, shame, shame! Talk about low class!!!

If they hadn't heard of them (which I doubt) I am sure they had heard of Goolge so there is no excuse. All of their music is a rip off anyway, even the stuff they are famous for. Talk about unoriginal, might as well be Lady GaGa.

  • @atheistsouthern The Mummies? You mean that 90's punk band ( Who are inferior to Here Come the Mummies, in my opinion ) that plays a completely different musical style to Here Come the Mummies, ended nearly a decade before HCTM started, and didn't invent mummies, and are therefore incapable of suing, even if the similarities in visual style where intentional? You mean those Mummies? Yeah, I don't think they have any relevance here.

  • Then slipknot, mushroomhead, kiss are ripping off alice cooper. Come on some small band that broke up years ago that was never big yes they ripped them off. Ididn't hear of the mummies until I looked up here come the mummies on wiki

  • It doesn't matter if the other band broke up, this is a copyright infringement and down right stealing someone concept!

Gee, I think I will do a band and call it "here comes the Beatles" I can dress up like that other band and use their same kind of artwork on my drums and all. Who will care? I mean they broke up years ago!!!!!

  • This is a rip off and it sucks! , where's the real Mummies? If I were them I would sue!!!!

  • @paulism100 Each band is a differnt genre. The Mummies aren't around anymore. They admitted they were ignorant of the fact of a band called The Mummies. They're NOT ripping off anyone. If you're talking about the fact they dress up as mummies, they only do it to conceal their identities and avoid various Contractual Issues. They do this for fun; it's not their day-time job. They're pretty talented. You should listen to more of their newer stuff - bigger & better songs & different make up.

  • I found them by accident and I am soooo glad I did. I wake up and go to sleep with them lol

  • I love where they got the " Raiders " prop !! WILD !!
