Media Bites - Prius

In this week's Media Bites we look at a new Toyota commercial featuring their hybrid car, the Prius. The commercial is a highly stylized form of greenwashing, since the commercial makes the claim that the car is in harmony with man and nature. We deconstruct this ad and direct people to a recent report from the National Labor Committee that looks at how workers are treated in Toyota factories in several countries.

How can you expect the guy in charge of toyota to know a great American story?! He's too busy hating America and taking advantage of them.

Remember what happens at the end of the trek to see the Wizard? He is a scam artist. Does Toyota deceive its potential vehicle buyers and/or current vehicle owners?

I say perhaps Toyota should go into the business of creating videos as there is true talent there!

Sludge in the engine is not a minor matter. Shouldn't Toyota solve one problem before "Moving On?"

Thank you for sharing this! Those who have been left with the financial responsibility for SLUDGE production in their engines are not being duped by Toyota's slick marketing efforts!

The Toyota sludgemobiles are the opposite of green vehicles. Toyota cannot possibly imply that it is all of sudden so green when it continues to have a serious engine sludging problem.
