He re-tuned it to an open-tuning it sounds like, that's why it took so long.
-
he doesn't love you back. he's not quite capable of that. ;)
-
i'm guessing his strings broke just before a show and he did not have that luxury. but you're right, it is fun watching him yap away while tuning. it extends the time of the show by a few minutes, which is great for all ataris fans.

It is a pain but thats why you change them the night before a show, play it, tune it, pull the strings about, tune it, play, tune etc.... After about 24 hours of playing and tuning it'll start to stick. Either way i love this guy and would be happy just to go and watch him tune up!

when you change your strings, it can be a pain to keep the tuning. but, yea, the guy needs to keep a second guitar w/ him. my friend has a neon and he can put his huge drum kit in there with room to spare!

he's really cool; just request a song and he'll play it. we got him to do an acoustic version of summer wind. but he won't do boys of summer lol

This guys songs get me through anything!
Love him :)

Amazing song but 4 minutes to tune a guitar?
He attempted to play "my so called life" at the pittsburgh show.. and forgot all the words and ended up singing about camping.
it was halarious.
