what makes you think English people speak posh? lol... there's so many different accents in England itself.. you should check out a Manchester accent compared to a Liverpool one, they sound totally different yet only 20 miles separates the two city's.. we don't all speak like Mary Poppins lol.

Try "that Mitchell and Webb sound" if you can recieve it in the US and isn't restricted there's hours and hours of different blokes talking in English accents.

lol....we dont all sound like we're in 'Oliver Twist' (funny impression though). To be honest though all around the world girls just like an accent different to theirs to show off to their friends like a new handbag etc!

I'm British and still don't understand why American girls love our accent? I feel stupid when I talk to anyone outside my country with this accent as most don't understand the slang as I'm from Northern England... The whole 'posh' stereotype goes completely out of the window the more up north in the UK you go! (not that I'm saying a lot talk posh in London, in fact, I hardly hear anyone talking posh in London)

@Mozat77 I guess people like hearing things they aren't used to! No one sounds like that in America, so we find it interesting. Some other people from the UK commented saying they love the American accent (I think it's UGLY!) haja

im british. but im a girl, lol. i really love the american accent, and american guys kinda appeal to me, so i guess we like opposites. you always want what you can't have. =D
