On 16th March 2011 at Holyrood Edinburgh, Annie Lennox revealed her findings from her recent trip to Malawi via this thought-provoking film report. Annie visited Malawi in her role as special envoy to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Scotland Branch (CPASB) along with Presiding Officer Alex Fergusson MSP in Feb 2011. Find out more about some of the organisations Annie visited during her time in Malawi:
I wonder just when the people of Africa will start to look after themselves. They live on a very rich continent but seem to be incapable of maintaining the most basic necessities of life.It seems they perpetually have their hand out begging from the west. Will they ever be a part of the modern world?Annie Lennox is a terrific woman but unfortunately she is tilting at windmills.
Congratulations no-one deserves it more.I'm sure that you will prove it again and again in the future.I thank you for your fantastic efforts for everybody else's future i hope yours is wonderful. x
