In 2006, my friend Andy and I teamed up to produce a 40-minute parody of Shakespeare's The Tempest. We recruited a bunch of our friends to fill the cast, wrote a script, and we were off. It was a huge amount of work, but a lot of fun, and a good learning experience.
The final 40 minute product took a solid 60 hours or so of effort, mostly due to an insane amount of bloopers involving cold porridge, spoons, and hairy fish-men.
In case you're wondering why there are celebrities in the credits... we didn't have enough people, so we had to get creative. The guy with the 'scream mask' was played by 3 different people, though his voice was only done by one. As far as the celebrities go, we animated their mouths in the final movie.
One parting note: while the trailer contains some footage from other movie trailers, the actual movie does not. When we made the trailer, we'd only done about a quarter of the filming.
me 2 this is hillarious
