Haven't seen the movie, but for me the story was not some goth ghost story. It was a short tale of feminine oppression and psychological problems only becoming much MUCH worse, by being denied ..... freedom.......As it is described here, i don't think i am going to watch. It'll ruin the story for me.......

There's no book. What the hell are the people ITT talking about. The Yellow Wallpaper was only ever a short story.

Also, one of the scariest and best-written short stories of psychological horror ever put to paper.
