DJ Hi-Tek does, according to many sources (including Ninja himself), not like flying which is why he prefers to stay home, i reckon that's the reason his not seen so often, but who knows? if only you could ask him.
-
@Rocky183 And sadly Leon Brotha passed away, but everything else you've explained sounds about spot on!
-
@MrWarriorDubstep So Hi-Tek is the fat guy in Zef Side who makes the beats for Die Antwoord, Vuil Geboost is a masked guy who performs as the DJ and Leon Botha is a DJ unrelated to Die Antwoord, besides friendship and Enter The Ninja. There's also DJ Diplo who made the beat for Evil Boy.
That's the frame I have in mind for Die Antwoord. But DJ Hi-Tek is very mysterious in all this because in Wat Pomp he's presented when Vuil Geboost is in shot, so everything I said is pretty much guesswork.
-
@MrWarriorDubstep Hi-Tek makes the beats and Vuil Geboost performs them, because Hi-Tek is shy and keeps away from the stage, I reckon. Leon Botha in all this, I don't know. I think he was featured in the Enter the Ninja video because Ninja and Botha are friends, and that's it.
-
@Rocky183 Then why do they include Leon Botha if he does not benefit the band, in "enter the ninja"
would it be possible that they changed who " Dj Hi-Tek" was or is, because why would they change who Dj's in the live shows to when they are recording ?
-
@MrWarriorDubstep Nah man, Leon Botha is not Dj Hi-Tek, Hi-Tek is the fat guy who only appears in Beat Boy. Botha was never shy of his progeria. You can see on Die Antwoord's Taxi Jam that hi-tek is in the taxi with them, but he doesn't do or say anything, which, to me is what they meant when they said hi-tek is shy. In the live shows hi-tek also doesn't appear, and is substituted by some guy in a mask who they named Vuil Geboost.
-
@chefsparks Dj hi-tek is real, his name is Leon Botha, he has progeria, and died about 2-3 weeks ago, R.I.P
but he is shy, thats why he isnt in the video for beatboy, and he only really appears in "enter the ninja."
Dj Hi-tek is also an artist. you should google Leon Botha, thats him, and Ninja or Waddy or Max Normal or any other names he has, is like sacha baron cohen, he acts as different people, his real name is "Watkin Tudor Jones" im not so sure about Yolandi though!
-
someone needs to make an instrumental out of this.
-
Where can I find a high quality version of this song? Thanks.
-
oh myy...I was just browsing and i found this and wow, great and very catchy
-
@Mikeskiboshskiisme Not when people talk too loud.
-
@chefsparks Di hi-tek is real. he is the larger fellow in the beat boy video. He is very shy and not really interested in being filmed I think. Also I guess he has a fear of flying so that's why he dont tour with them.
Stop.
Look.
Look again.
This song is now diamonds.
