Ambitious health care agenda? This is a total takeover of our health care system by the government. When the Democrats got smoked in 1994 it was over the SAME issue. What is so unusual about this?

The same way they handle it now: One person at a time. But those without insurance wait until they are really sick then show up at ERs, a much more expensive way to get health care. Give everybody a medicare option, and people will go for preventitive care.

By the way, the medicare-for-all program won't cover illegal aliens. They will still have to go to emergency rooms, and you will still be paying their bills.

As has been said a million times: You like your present insurance program? Stay with it! No problem.

Can't imagine why you'd like having a lifetime cap on your care, random refusal of payment, getting tossed off the roles if you make a claim, or having 34% or more of each premium dollar go toward CEO salary or dividend payments to stockholders, but if that's what you like, you just keep that program!

The movie is not about health care but the fact we are damn near broke as a country look it up. Accountable to you how about you switch to your reps home page and start asking for laws on accountability instead of Gov take overs and what makes you people. This is the BIG problem with this country we are lazy and want everything done and handed to us. As for your country won't comment HELLO were have you been for the last 6 months our gov already has control over most big banks and businesses.

Anyway, this is all off point...... I'm done arguing about Chomsky, hes one small reason I could careless what PBS has to say about Health care.

Do you really still not get my point? EXACTLY, ITS ABOUT "SUPPLY, DEMAND AND THE COMPETITION". I want someone accountable to me, and everyone around me. Theres a chance in government but, when large sums of profit is involved rules will ALWAYS BEND and break. This country wont allow enough governmental control of the private sector to insure anything..

you've clearly never read Chomsky.. ...Because he is sooo not a philosopher.... I wrote he was a philosopher for shitts and giggles...(and in a more contemporary way, you could call him a philosopher of current events and history, but nevertheless he deals with facts....)

The point is that he has DONE PBS/NPR like he as done interviews just about everywhere..... He claims he has very limited freedom at these "liberal" startions..

Not all politicians but most. I also agree that business makes assholes out of everybody but it is part of the job description. its all about supply,demand and the competition. But remeber the evil rich people we are demonizing supply most of the jobs in this country. Having run a fairly succesful small business for about 10 years I know a bit about it. If we make some rules to ensure everybody gets the insurance they pay for, We wouldn't be in this mess.

And like I said PBS likes to deal with facts. Philosophers do not deal with facts but there own opinions and Ideas as to why and how. Am I making sense to you?
